2nd Assistant Camera
MFS Student short film, filming on location.
Below shows me and Ben Eckersall, First AC, discussing the next shot, post lens (Zeis CP2) and filter (NDs .3 – .9 )change. We were using the Arri SXT fit with remote follow focus and a wireless Teradek bolt 500 transmitter:
Below shows me marking up my clapperboard. I believe that over three years my clapperboards have improved in all areas, neat and tidy writing, I know exactly how to slate boards and have done so at a professional level:

Below show the camera set up in position and I am reconnecting the BNC cable to the Teradek transmitter as the signal kept dropping out and the director and script supervisor kept losing picture:

Below shows the camera team discussing the next shot and rigging the hand held Easy Rig:
This shoot was a more relaxed shoot, only a two day shoot, but no less important important for my development into the camera department. I particularly loved working with fellow peer Ben Eckersall (1st AC) and teacher supervisor Peter Waiting (Operator) as it was a chance for me and Ben to show the level at which we had reached after the three years of studying and practising.
