2nd Assistant Camera
This was a very enjoyable shoot as it was in Antwerp Mansion in Manchester. A very cool location, used for art galleries and it used to open as a night club.
Below shows my marked up clapperboard – used to identify the take and sync sound – :
Below shows the focus pullers monitor with all the relevant camera information, such as, FPS – Frames Per Second, the Shutter Speed, EI or ISO, WB – White Balance or Colour Temperature, Battery and what card and how much space is left on the card. Having all this information displayed on the focus pullers monitor helps to make sure all the settings are correct and you can keep an eye on battery levels:

Below shows the video village – Usually, a big monitor for hair and makeup, or any other crew member that isn’t the director – that I set up for the shoot. I mounted a Teredek – wireless receiver for the feed – and powered it with a mains power supply.

PINK MUSTARD Reference:
“Adam is a GEM! Adam has worked for me numerous times as both my focus puller and my clapper loader. One of the most recent jobs he’s worked for me on was a music video style job that was essentially a promo film for a nationally reaching dance agency, Pink Mustard. Adam was my loader for the shoot, allowing our usual loader to step up to focus pull. He is a very capable clapper loader and is always keen from the second he arrives to the second he leaves. He doesn’t blink and eyelid at even the toughest of tasks. We were up against it time wise, perhaps even more so than the usual schedule smashing. He made sure the camera dept was running smoothly, always on it with the boards, running cables, moving video village and even mucking in with some lighting tasks.” Mathew Lewis (2020)
