Camera Operator
This was a chance to film something a bit different. Dawson Roberts, a friend and fellow student at the film school, works for the company “Square Eyes” and asked me to help out with a shoot down in Cardiff (Celtic Manor) at an event for pet products. We filmed an interview with “Michaela Strachan”, and then filmed the “Vets Deliver” presentation.
Below shows a picture of the camera set up for the presentation:

The finished edit of the interview:
To start with the company had hired out a room in, Celtic manor, to do the interview with Michaela but the room was just a big empty conference room with little life to it. I suggested to go outside to the clients, for a nicer background to the interview. They agreed with the idea and we went to set up in an unplanned location. We managed to find a more aesthetically pleasing location closer to wildlife, in front of a little wood, and the shoot went well. However the unplanned location cost a lot of time and it proved to be a task to catch up with time. As neither the clients, nor me and Dawson knew what the room that was hired out looked like, I am still glad that I suggested the option as the finished product looks a lot nicer than it would have. In future I will try to make sure I know exactly where I will be filming, so that I can create shots that look good and to not have to catch up with the time it took finding the alternative location.
